Hyrox

What Is Hyrox?

Hyrox is a worldwide race format pairing 8 km of running with 8 functional fitness stations, back to back. What sets it apart from CrossFit: every race uses the same format, the same loads, the same order. You train once and meet the same standard wherever in the world you compete.

The Format

Every race begins with a 1 km run, then straight into the first station. Another 1 km, another station. In total: 8 runs and 8 stations, averaging 90–120 minutes. Elite athletes can finish under 60 minutes; for most people, the first goal is simply to finish — the second goal is to finish faster.

Who Is Hyrox For?

Ideal for CrossFit athletes who love running, runners curious about functional fitness, and anyone who wants to compete in an endurance-based format. There are no highly technical lifts (snatches, muscle-ups) like CrossFit — which makes it more accessible. Hyrox runs age categories (Pro / Open) and offers individual, Doubles, and 4-person Relay formats.

Hyrox Training at Boomerang

Boomerang is one of Istanbul's first Hyrox Training Clubs. Our weekly Hyrox classes work on station combinations, pacing tests, and running volume. There's also a dedicated race-prep program — our certified Hyrox coaches build weekly load and volume plans around individual goals.
